Pirform Prerelease: 2025.3
This article describes an upcoming release of Pirform, version 2025.3. This version is a pre-release version available now, and the full release will be available close to Easter 2025.
Return of the ring
We have brought back the previous method of handling of ring final circuits to Pirform's intelligence.
In versions from 2025.3 onwards you can tell Pirform that the circuit is a ring final circuit simply by entering the word "ring" in the circuit designation. Pirform intelligence will use the relevant guidance to determine whether the circuit is correctly sized.

Dragging observation images
You can now easily add images to the selected observation by dragging and dropping them from your computer. Simples!
Improved SPD reporting
We have improved the way that SPD (surge protective device) information is entered and reported in Pirform. You can now report SPD status as CONFIRMED, FAIL, or NOT APPLICABLE (N/A).
Use keyboard shortcuts to speed up data entry
You can use Pirform's keyboard shorcuts to speed up data entry. More details in our documentation here.
When reporting the SPD is not applicable, you now only have to enter that once:
But it will still be reported in both the board details and test results in the certificate PDF:
Lastly, when reporting a failure for the SPD, Pirform has intelligence that automatically adds an observation to report the failure, coding it as a C3:
Improvements to form sizing
We have improved the way Pirform detects the screen size when it opens, particularly when on smaller screens.
Circuit counts in PDF
The circuit counts in the PDF now ignore spare circuits.
